What's on My Desk

©2010 Deborah Melmon

Boy, it's been a long time since my last post! I've been very busy illustrating a couple of books. In in the midst of all that I lost my beautiful Airedale, Gracie, to old age and kidney disease. It has been a tough couple of months, but I'm happy to say that I've adopted another dog! You can check him out on my Friday post at PBJunkies along with a preview of what I'm currently working on.

So sorry to hear about Gracie, but so happy to see a post from you. It's so great to know that you've been busy and so prolific! What a difference a year makes!
Miss you....

So sorry about Gracie. She is in Rainbow Bridge right now, running in the fields having fun and watching over your new pup!!

The artwork! Oh my gosh this is so cute. I love the point of view. This is a difficult point of view and it looks completely natural coming from your pen. Your work is so free spirited yet also so steeped in experience!

I am also sorry to hear about your Gracie even though I never knew her but having lost our precious doggie not so long ago I completely understand the pain it brings. I absolutely love your blog and illustrations. I’m just starting out in illustration and it is so wonderful for me to be able to look at blogs like your and see the talent and experience of people like yourself. Thanks for your generosity in allowing people like me to see your wonderful art work
